Saesco Medical strengthens its presence in Italy through the acquisition of Medcomp S.r.l.

  • Medcomp marks Saesco Medical’s ninth acquisition in recent years and further strengthens its position as a leading pan-European distributor of innovative medical technology.
  • Medcomp will continue to be led by its existing team, in coordination with Dimed, Saesco’s existing Italian platform.
  • The transaction expands Saesco’s offering in Italy, particularly in gynecology and general surgery.

Saesco Medical, a European group specializing in the distribution of value-added devices, consumables, and medical equipment for minimally invasive surgery, has acquired Medcomp S.r.l., a Milan-based distributor of innovative medical and surgical devices. The transaction reinforces Saesco’s international consolidation strategy and further strengthens its presence in the Italian market.

Founded in 2008 by Massimo Giusti, Medcomp has developed a strong nationwide sales network across Italy, representing leading brands and products with a particular focus on the gynecology sector. Medcomp’s team will continue to support its vendors and customers in partnership with Dimed, Saesco’s Turin-based division.

The acquisition further strengthens Saesco’s direct presence across Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Poland. Medcomp’s portfolio complements Dimed’s current offering and broadens the range of clinically important solutions available to clinicians in Italy.
